Cloning the site. Wholesale reproduction of our pages, dashboards or datasets — with or without cosmetic changes — is not permitted under any licence here. We pursue this through takedown notices to hosts and search engines.
Commercial use of the content or data. Paid products, client deliverables, commissioned research sold as part of an engagement, ad-supported republication. Licences are available — just ask.
Using our name or logo to brand, promote or lend credibility to your work, or in any way suggesting we are affiliated with or endorse it.
Stripping attribution — removing our credit, source citations or copyright notices from material you reuse.

mineral.watch is built on open data published by the British Geological Survey, the U.S. Geological Survey, UN Comtrade, the IEA, the World Bank, the World Nuclear Association, the IAEA and the US EIA, among others. Those figures are theirs, not ours, and we make no ownership claim over them.
What we do claim is the work of turning them into this: the selection of what matters, the cleaning and cross-checking, the geocoding of facilities, the structuring, and the analysis wrapped around it. That compilation is protected in its own right — including as a database right under Directive 96/9/EC and equivalent law — and it is what the CC BY-NC-SA licence above covers.
If you want the raw numbers with no strings attached, go to the original publishers. That is the honest route and we will happily point you to the right dataset.
